Rotary Grant Funding Toolkit for Water Conservation and Advocacy

The Ipswich-Rowley Rotary Club secured a grant from Rotary International to go towards work addressing critical water supply issues on the North Shore of Massachusetts. This work ties into the Ipswich River Watershed Association’s Save the River campaign.

This work focuses on the development of a toolkit for water conservation and water advocacy and well as education and outreach program to start to put this toolkit into effect. See below the Water Conservation and Advocacy Toolkit as well as ongoing outreach and education efforts in support of this work. This page will continue to be updated throughout the two-year duration of the grant from Rotary International.

Water Conservation and Advocacy Toolkit

The Recipe for Water Resiliency is an enhanced water conservation plan, based on the experiences of water-stressed communities on the North Shore of Massachusetts. The report goes beyond the water conservation programs that already exist in many cities and towns to increase water supply resiliency in light of climate change. It is a tool to help local leaders make informed decisions on water use, and incentivize residents and businesses to conserve even more water than traditional conservation practices typically achieve.
