About the Organization
Boxford is a rural, geographically large town with almost no commercial development. The Town was incorporated in 1685. At that time it was home to approximately 40 families. Today the estimated population is 8,600. Heavily forested with many scenic hiking tails, Boxford is also home to numerous lakes, ponds, streams, wildlife, flora and fauna and has received the prestigious Tree City USA award for the fifth consecutive year. The Town has a five member Board of Selectmen and an open town meeting form of government.
