Boat and Water Access Available from EHSSM
The Essex Historical Society and Shipbuilding Museum (EHSSM), is a unique institution nestled along the river’s edge, where history, craftsmanship, and environmental stewardship come together. Honoring our maritime heritage through boatbuilding and cultural programs, EHSSM also recognizes the impact of our collective actions on the marine ecosystem. With a strategic focus on environmental initiatives, the museum strives to make a positive difference in the health and sustainability of our waterways. EHSSM is eager to forge partnerships with like-minded organizations doing good work in the realm of environmental conservation. Boats and water access provide valuable assets for collaborative projects aimed at safeguarding our precious natural resources. Getting these initiatives off the ground, EHSSM is open to conversations about how to utilize its location and student built fleet of boats to help the collective efforts of environmentalists working to steward the Essex River and nearby waters.
